Managing your account

Managing your account
In this page we’ll show how to manage your account, add new team members and handle subscriptions.

Create an account

You can create an account in two ways: single sign on (SSO) and email.
For single sign on, follow those steps:
  1. 1.
    Navigate to the Magny login screen and click the G+ Sign In with Google button. A new page will appear.
  2. 2.
    Click on the Google account which you’d like to use to log on to Magny.
For email, follow those steps:
  1. 1.
    Navigate to the Magny login screen click on Sign up now button.
  2. 2.
    Enter your first name, last name, email and password. Click on Sign up button.
After logging in the first time, you will see an onboarding page where you are asked a few questions. After answering them, you’ll be presented with a beautiful Magny dashboard where you can start adding commands and categories to a project.
💡 During creating your account, you’ll be asked an organization name. Within each organization, you will be able to create multiple projects. Your company should have only one organization in Magny, but you can have multiple projects within that organization. Most Magny customers use the name of their company as the name of your organization.

Create your password

In order to change your password, follow those steps:
  1. 1.
    Go to top right menuPassword
  2. 2.
    Enter your current password.
  3. 3.
    Enter your new password twice.
You’ll get a confirmation email after your password is changed.

Change your email

To change your email, follow those steps:
  1. 1.
    Go to top right menuProfile
  2. 2.
    Change your email and click Update.
If you have logged in via SSO, you cannot change your email.

Teams management

Magny has a basic team management structure. Users on the account have all the project creation abilities as the admin, who created the team initially.
However, the admin account (who has first logged in to an organization) has extra capabilities to do the following:
  • Add a team member
  • Remove a team member
  • Remove the team

Add a team member

In order to a team member, follow those steps:
  1. 1.
    Go to top right menuTeams
  2. 2.
    From the Teams page, add as many team members as you want. Since Magny is not a seat-based platform, you can virtually add any number of collaborators.
  3. 3.
    Once you send an invite, your team member will receive an email with a link to the invitation page.

Remove a team member

In order to remove a team member, follow those steps:
  1. 1.
    Go to top right menuTeams
  2. 2.
    From the teams page, find your team member and click on Delete
Once your your team member will be deleted, he/she will get an acknowledgement email.
If a team member is removed, there will be no changes to the projects, commands or settings.

Remove the team

The admin can remove the team by removing his/her account completely. This will wipe not only the admin’s account but all the team’s account, projects and commands. You will not be able to login to your account.

Managing your subscription

Magny has two subscription plans:
  • Starter, which provides all the basic tools you need to implement Magny and empower your users.
  • Pro, for organizations that need additional analytics, integrations, control and support.
When you start with the Starter plan, your subscription doesn’t end. You may continue to enjoy the features provided with this plan. This is the suggested way to get started with Magny.
There are two types of Magny subscriptions, and the features a user can access depend on the license that the user has been assigned. Below is a quick summary of the different subscription plans and licenses on Magny.

Starter Plan

This is a free plan where you have the following features:
✅ Unlimited users
✅ Unlimited projects
✅ Recommendations
✅ Fuzzy search
✅ User feedbacks
✅ Basic UI customizations
✅ Basic analytics
✅ Basic document search with manual update
✅ Magny branding

Pro Plan

In addition to Starter Plan, Pro Plan includes the following:
✅ Advanced analytics
✅ Advanced UI customizations
✅ Document search support with more providers and auto update
✅ No Magny branding
✅ Premium support
✅ Service level agreement
Note that unlike many other SaaS platforms, there are no seat plans or limits on the number of users/projects.
If you have questions about your plan, contact Support.
Once you are satisfied with what you have achieved (and we are fully sure about this), you can always move to the Pro Plan to support Magny’s future development.
This can be done directly within the Magny dashboard from the Upgrade button on bottom left.
Once you are in the Pro plan, depending on the monthly or annual subscriptions, your credit card will be charged accordingly by Stripe. You will get invoices directly to your email.
When your Pro subscription ends, you’ll lose Pro features in your account.
